University of Sofia

July 12 - August 1, 2020

Important message

Dear participants in the 58th Summer Seminar,

Thank you for your desire to be part of our seminar, however, due to the worsening of the situation in terms of the spread of COVID-19, the number of applicants has diminished significantly. From the initial 37 applications, 21 were confirmed and as of 29th June, only 5 participants have now confirmed and in the best case scenario, at most 6 more could join us. Due to the increasing number of positive cases of corona virus and the restricted flights to Sofia airport, I doubt the number of participants will increase.

Having all the terms of the situation in mind, the 58th Summer Seminar is postponed to 2021 and if there are applicants that have already purchased their tickets or are insisting on taking part of it, please get in touch with the seminar in Veliko Tarnovo. The university there has their own accommodation and food court, so it’s not a problem to accommodate more people even from 12th July.

I hope to see you all next year. Be safe and take care of yourselves.

Prof. Panayot Karagyozov, Director of the Seminar.
